PwC Legal is selling its Swiss-law legal documents on an unbundled basis. You can pick and choose what you want, and pay as you go. There's nothing like that from a large law firm anywhere around the globe. Currently, you can ask for a document from your favorite lawyer, but the quid pro quo is that you'll engage them for hefty fees somewhere down the line. PwC Legal is selling its docs for a fair price but not asking for anything in return. That's a faster, easier way to work and involves less hassle. You don't have to talk to partners in law firms. You also get those documents at a fraction of what you'd pay for getting a law firm to put it together, and that's a serious value proposition for our customers. The only way PwC Legal can do that is by automating what they do, and that takes courage in getting what you know in code and guts to be the first. We'd like to take our hats off to PwC Legal for being our first strategic supplier.
PWC Legal’s Swiss-law offer is powered by Exari, which is the automated document software driving the documents. Exari is doing a fantastic job with its software and has jumped into the PartnerVine project no holds barred. Any firm that endorses the open innovation embodied by PartnerVine deserves our thanks, and a heartfelt commendation for the support. Getting PartnerVine, PwC Legal and Exari to launch has been a great experiment in open innovation, and breaking down those barriers between firms is not without risk. We’d like to thank Exari for taking the plunge, and we hope we can do well for you. You deserve it.
PwC Legal’s Swiss-law documents are the first ones on PartnerVine, but they’re not the last. Meyerlustenberger Lachenal will be joining shortly with Swiss-law documents, and you can expect to see more documents added over the months as other suppliers come on line in Switzerland, the US and UK.
We’re launching in beta so we can start to get your feedback and work out the kinks. We’d love to hear from you. We’re starting with a selection of documents from PwC Legal under Swiss law, and we plan to add documents from other suppliers over the coming months so we can present to you an incredibly useful library. For starters, documents prepared by PwC Legal will only be sold to Swiss corporate customers that do not have an independence-relevant relationship with PwC (including, but not limited to, being an audit client), but we hope to expand the offer shortly. We want to build a place that provides exceptional value to you—and makes your life easier in the process. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improvements.
